Disagree with the push for password managers after mine got locked out

Happened yesterday when my main email changed and the recovery failed. Anyone have a solid, manual backup method they actually use?

My old boss kept his passwords on a notecard in a lockbox. That manual system worked for twenty years without a single lockout. Sometimes the simple fix is the most reliable one, you know?

Ugh, that's rough. Guess the cloud isn't the best place for a rainy day fund.

Actually, the cloud is a pretty good place for a rainy day fund. The joke is funny, but cloud storage is usually backed up in multiple physical locations. So if one data center has a problem, like a flood, your files are safe somewhere else.
