Our new credit card reader at the Corktown shop just stopped working during the lunch rush
It happened yesterday around 12:30, right when the line was out the door. The Square Stand just froze and wouldn't take any chip cards. I had to dig out the old manual slider and write down orders for an hour. Has anyone else had a Square terminal just die like that? What did you switch to?

Check for a power surge? Honestly, that's the first thing everyone jumps to. I mean, modern electronics have pretty solid surge protection built in these days. Could be a bad outlet or a loose wire in the wall causing a short.
