Can we talk about how much easier digital painting is with a screen tablet versus a pad?
I spent years hunched over a pad setup, guessing where my strokes would land, until I got a basic screen tablet last spring. The difference in accuracy and flow was night and day, has anyone else found the upgrade worth the cost?

Used to be one of those "real artists use a pad" weirdos tbh. Then I tried a friend's screen tablet for like an hour and suddenly understood why people drop serious cash on them. Having the cursor right under your pen changes everything, no more of that weird disconnect where you're making lines you can't fully see. Totally get why your buddy caved so fast once he experienced it firsthand. Hard to go back once you know what you're missing.

My buddy Mike was stubborn about his old pad for years... swore it was fine. Then he borrowed my screen tablet for a weekend to finish a commission of a dragon with lots of scales and tiny claws. He called me Sunday night sounding wrecked, told me he spent the whole time redoing the same lines over and over on his own setup after he gave mine back. He ordered one that Monday morning.
