My color grading file kept corrupting for 2 weeks, finally found the culprit
I was finishing a set of landscapes I shot in Santa Fe and every time I exported from my tablet's editing app, the file would just refuse to open on my desktop. Tried different formats, reinstalled the app twice, even blamed my old SD card. Turns out the app was writing hidden metadata that my desktop software hated, and stripping it in a batch fix took 10 minutes once I googled the right phrase. Has anyone else run into cross-device file issues that turned out to be some dumb hidden setting? I feel like I lost a whole weekend to this.

Man that sucks, losing a whole weekend to a hidden setting is the worst kind of pain. Been there with some dumb export thing too, spent hours blaming my gear when it was just a checkbox somewhere. Glad you got it sorted though, ten minutes of googling beats two weeks of guessing every time.
