The day my art tablet died right before a client deadline
Last Tuesday I was putting final touches on a commission piece for a wedding couple in Denver. My Wacom Intuos just stopped working mid stroke, no warning or anything. I spent 4 hours trying different cables, ports, and driver reinstalls before giving up. Had to finish the whole thing with a mouse, which took forever and my hand cramped up bad. Has anyone else had a tool fail at the worst possible time and how did you handle the pressure?

Oh MAN that is brutal. Nothing like your main tool deciding it's done with life at the EXACT worst moment. Hope you at least gave that mouse a stern talking to afterwards.

You ever tried just unplugging everything, waiting 30 seconds, and plugging it back in? I know it sounds stupid but that actually saved my old mouse once. The cable was loose in the port or something, and that hard reset fixed it for a few more months until I finally upgraded.
