Two takedown notices in one week, only one got reversed, here is what differed
I run a small forum for vintage motorcycle parts and someone posted a scanned shop manual from 1974. Honda's legal team sent a DMCA notice and the host pulled it instantly. But last Tuesday I got a notice from a user claiming copyright on a wiring diagram, and I fought that one because the user actually traced it from my own photos. The first one I just let go, no questions, and it vanished for good. The second one I replied with proof of my original upload timestamp and the counter-notice got the post restored in 72 hours. Has anyone else noticed that platforms barely check the validity of claims before they nuke content, and pushing back is the only way to win?
