Burned $600 on a Facebook ads course from a guy in Tampa and learned more from a free YouTube video
So back in March I paid $600 for this Facebook ads course that a guy from Tampa was pushing on his podcast. He kept saying students were getting 5x returns in 30 days, and I figured if it worked for them it would work for my little landscaping business. Three weeks in, all the actual lessons were stuff I could have looked up myself, like how to set a daily budget and where to find the audience settings. He spent two full modules on mindset and one on how to join his private Slack, which turned out to be mostly people pitching their own courses back at me. What actually worked was a free 14 minute YouTube video from some kid in Ohio who just showed his screen and built a campaign in real time. I've made back about $200 of that $600 now, but it was a slow and dumb way to learn it. Has anyone here taken a paid ads course that was actually worth the money, or is it all screen recordings of stuff already on YouTube?
