Threw $800 at a TikTok agency that sent me 34 spam leads
Hired this agency in Phoenix after a slick sales call, they promised 100 qualified leads in 30 days. Got a spreadsheet of bot accounts and people who never even opened my offer, zero sales. Anyone had luck with a specific freelancer or platform that actually filters junk before you pay?

It's the same scam as those "guaranteed traffic" sites or those guys on Fiverr who farm clicks from click farms overseas. Everyone sells you the number without any care if the numbers are real people. The whole lead gen industry runs on selling volume to people who don't know how to check it. Maybe it's just me but I always ask for a sample of the list first now, like a test batch, and see if those people even reply. If they can't give you ten real names who answer an email, the rest is garbage.
