Coworking desk hacks from a guy in Chiang Mai actually worked
A dude I met at a coworking spot in Chiang Mai told me to book my Airbnb for 2 weeks first instead of a month, even if I plan to stay longer. He said it forces you to check the wifi speed and noise level before you're stuck paying for 30 days of misery. I did that last month in Lisbon and the first place was terrible, dodged a bullet. Anyone else trust random advice from strangers they met on the road?

Wait, you actually took life advice from a guy in Chiang Mai about Lisbon? That's like asking a surf instructor for skiing tips. Different continent, different vibe, different wifi problems. But also, that's the most paranoid booking strategy I've ever heard. Two weeks feels like you're just moving your stress from month one to week three. Plenty of places won't even give you a good rate for two weeks, so you're paying more and still might end up hunting for a new spot mid-trip.
