Everyone said get a VPN for Bali, but nobody warned me about the power strips
I've been in Canggu for 6 weeks and the thing that keeps wrecking my work setup isn't wifi or visas, it's that every villa outlet is a single Type C plug, so I finally bought a $12 power strip at Ace Hardware on Jalan Raya and it's the most useful thing I own here, what's the one cheap thing that fixed your setup that nobody mentions?

Mine was a $3 roll of duct tape from the Circle K down the street. My laptop stand was sliding around on the tile floor every time I typed, and I spent two weeks blaming my chair, my desk, my whole life before I just taped the stupid thing down. Now it stays put and I look like I'm running a hostage situation in my villa. Six weeks in Canggu and my greatest tech upgrade cost less than a nasi goreng. The power strip tip is going on my list though, my single outlet is currently hosting a rotating cast of chargers like it's a reality show elimination round.
