That $29 Van Life Hack Nearly Stranded Me in Lisbon

My buddy Cole swore by those cheap folding solar panels from Amazon, said he ran his whole setup for 6 months on one. I bought a 100W panel for $29 and on day 4 in Lisbon the charge controller smoked out, fried my power bank too. Anyone else get burned by budget gear that influencers push?
