Update: my laptop died in Lisbon and the hostel front desk guy fixed it with a hair dryer
I was 20 minutes into a client call when my screen went black, and he just held the charger port under hot air for two minutes and it booted right up. Now I carry a travel dryer everywhere, so what small town trick saved your setup?

Same thing but with a phone, the guy at a gas station put my wet one in rice for an hour.
