Hit 10,000 streams on a single track and it felt weird
I've been putting out beats for like 3 years and never broke 500 plays on anything. Then one random track from my 'D11-04' album just crossed 10k last night. I think it got shared in some DJ group in Mexico or something because the traffic spiked from there. Has anyone else had a random track blow up way more than the ones you thought were your best?

Bro that's wild, congrats! Same thing happened to me last year with a beat I almost didn't upload. I thought it was just another throwaway track, maybe a bit sloppy honestly, but it got picked up by some SoundCloud repost page in Brazil and just took off. The ones I spend weeks on barely hit 200 plays, but that random low-effort one is sitting at 15k now. It's completely backwards, like the algorithm or the audience just decides what's good no matter what you think.

Wait, @aaron677 are you telling me that the track I actually put effort into is gonna get ignored while a beat I made in 10 minutes goes viral? Thats basically my whole music career in a nutshell. I'll spend a whole weekend on some polished thing and get 50 plays, then I'll fart out a quick loop at 2am and it somehow ends up in someones playlist in Germany. At this point I just assume my brain has zero clue what sounds good and the universe is just messing with me.
