Just overheard a producer talk about using AI to write their track notes
I was grabbing coffee near that place on Calle La Senda and heard this guy telling his friend he just lets ChatGPT write all his artist bios and track descriptions. He said it saved him like 3 hours per release. But here's the thing, the way he described it sounded like he was outsourcing the whole vibe of his project to a machine. Has anyone else run into this where a track's backstory feels hollow because it wasn't actually written by the person who made the music?

Look, I'm gonna push back on this one hard. If a producer is spending 3 hours writing track notes instead of actually working on music, that's 3 hours they could have spent mixing, writing, or sleeping. The backstory of a track is just marketing at the end of the day, and nobody buys a song because the bio was written by hand. Plenty of classic records had zero backstory at all, people just heard the tune and felt something. The vibe comes from the audio, not the paragraph next to it on Beatport. And honestly, some of the most heartfelt descriptions I've read were just lies anyway, producers making up stories about recording in a haunted studio when they did it in their bedroom.
