Epoxy floor install went sideways after 3 hours, that cure time warning is no joke
Watched my buddy put down a garage epoxy kit last Saturday and we figured the 24 hour cure time was just to cover their butts. We walked on it after maybe 10 hours to move some shelving back in and now there's permanent shoe prints in 4 spots plus a tire mark from where he rolled his jack over it. He's gotta grind the whole thing down and redo it. I was skeptical about the temperature and humidity requirements on the can too, but they matter. His garage was like 65 degrees and we still messed it up. Anyone else ignore a cure time and regret it, or did we just get unlucky with a bad batch?

Ten hours is way too early. That 24 hour number on the can is for foot traffic only and it still needs 3 to 5 days before you park a car on it. Temp and humidity matter a lot too. At 65 degrees that stuff cures slow, so you probably needed closer to 48 hours before walking on it. Not a bad batch, just a lesson. Grinding it down and starting over is the only real fix now. Next time keep everyone out of the garage for two full days minimum.
