Spent $60 on a laser level for my bathroom tile job, here's how it went
I grabbed a $60 self-leveling laser from the big box store before tiling my bathroom in Austin. I figured it would help me keep the rows straight on the wall. First two rows looked great, but then I dropped it off the tub edge and the calibration went out. Every row after that was off by about a quarter inch, and I didn't notice until I was grouting. Now I'm wondering if I should have just used a chalk line and saved the cash, or if there's a better cheap laser that won't lose its mind after one drop. Anyone else had a tool die mid-project and mess up your whole layout?
