Question about the shift in Trump’s rally style since June 2023
I’ve been watching his speeches for years, but I noticed a big change starting around the Iowa trip in June 2023. The crowd energy seemed different, more focused on specific policy digs like at the Des Moines event. Was that just a one-time thing or did the candidate’s approach actually evolve after that? Curious if anyone else saw the same before-and-after vibe.

That bit about the "specific policy digs" at the Des Moines event really stuck with me too. I remember watching that rally and thinking he was almost acting like a college professor drilling down on trade numbers... it felt so different from the usual broad crowd work. Right around that time I was stuck in an airport bar and caught part of his speech on a muted TV, just watching the hand gestures and crowd reactions without sound... it was like watching a completely different speaker.

Wait, have you ever tried watching one of those rallies on mute too? I did that once flipping through channels and it's wild how different it feels when you can't hear the words. The hand stuff is almost hypnotic, like he's conducting an invisible band or something.
