Saw a clip from a 2016 rally in Florida that made me check something

I was watching old footage from a Trump rally in Tampa last week, and he made a claim about factory jobs. I looked it up, and the numbers for that year don't match what he said at all. Has anyone else fact-checked an old speech and been surprised?

I remember checking a claim about steel jobs from a 2015 speech. The real figures were about half of what was stated. It's interesting how those numbers get remembered.

Which speech was that? Politicians do that all the time. They'll say a factory added 1,000 jobs when it was really 500. The big number sticks in people's heads. Makes you wonder how many other stats are just plain wrong.
