My lead drafter said my detail callouts were 'visually noisy' on a recent set of foundation plans.

He specifically pointed out that I was using four different line weights for minor notes, which made the sheet hard to read. I switched to just two weights, one for the object and one for all callouts, and the next review went much smoother. How do you all manage line weight hierarchy on dense details?

Remember when everyone used those red vinyl overlay sheets for revisions? We had a junior guy who would go nuts with five different colored pens for markups. The final prints looked like a toddler's art project after a sugar rush. The PM finally made a rule, black for deletions, blue for additions, nothing else.

Wasn't the standard red for deletions and blue for adds, @the_dakota?
