TIL some drafters still dimension in inches like it's 1985

Caught a guy at the shop last week adding fractions like 23/64" to a drawing we had to build from. Why does it matter when the CNC reads decimal and we have to convert every time?

Had a guy hand me a blueprint in 32nds last Tuesday.

Last week a shop down the street sent over a set of plans with everything in 32nds and it took me ten minutes to double check one measurement. Drives me crazy when they do that.
