Update: Switched from mouse to a drawing tablet for CAD work and it's night and day after 3 weeks

I was one of those people who thought using a mouse for drafting was just fine. Been doing it for about 7 years. Then my buddy let me borrow his old Wacom Intuos for a week. First two days were awful. Couldn't snap to points right, felt like my hand was drunk. But around day 4 it started clicking. By week 2 I was actually faster on some things like editing polylines. Now at week 3 I can't imagine going back. My wrist pain is basically gone and I'm not clicking through menus 50 times a day. Has anyone else made this jump and stuck with it? Or did you go back to mouse?

My coworker Dave tried this exact thing last year and swore by it after a month. Said the first week was pure hell though, he almost threw the tablet across the room lol. He still uses it for all his detailing work and keeps a mouse just for the occasional right click thing.

I drove a 2003 Honda Civic for eight years and thought touchscreens in cars were just a dumb distraction. But last month I borrowed my buddy's Tesla Model 3 for a weekend trip and I get it now. The whole interface just felt natural after about thirty minutes of messing with it. I still think having everything on one screen is a bad idea if it breaks, but for daily driving I was wrong about it being useless. Not gonna go buy a Tesla though, my 2012 Corolla is fine.
