Wait, does mesh tape just not hold up on ceilings or is it more of a humidity thing? I learned the hard way with regular drywall tape last year when I tried to patch a bathroom ceiling and it peeled off after a month. Ended up using paper tape and it's been fine since, but now I'm wondering if mesh is the same kind of hassle.
