Ditched my old chalk line for a laser after one bad ceiling job

Last month I was doing a 14 foot hallway in Portland and my line snapped crooked because the chalk got damp in the truck. Switched to a $40 self-leveling laser and marked every stud in under five minutes. Does anyone else use lasers for layout or is snapping lines still the standard?

Damp chalk in the truck? You leave your tools out in the rain or something? Sounds like user error, not a reason to ditch the old way.
