Told my old foreman I hate pre-filling nail pops and he changed my mind in 2 minutes.

He just said 'you're spending 10 extra seconds now or 30 minutes later doing touch-ups' and honestly that math hit me different after a 400 board job last week where I had to go back twice, has anyone else had a simple quote just click like that?

Wasted effort" is just letting your work come back to haunt you.

Oh man, I gotta push back on that one. Spending extra time pre-filling means you end up doing it on every single nail (even ones that would have been fine) and that's just wasted effort. Plus half the time the mud shrinks anyway and you're still touching up, so it's not really a shortcut just a different kind of headache.
