Took a used jamb saw after a 3-inch overcut on a door frame job in Tacoma

Last month I watched my apprentice tape a jamb with a razor instead of a saw and the finish was so clean that I traded my electric jamb saw for a $4 utility knife, so has anyone else switched to hand cutting for door wraps and regretted the extra time?
