Hit 10,000 days away from Aleppo and it hit me weird

Ngl, I did the math last Tuesday and realized it's been 10,000 days since I left Aleppo. That number felt huge, like a century, but it also reminded me I've built a whole life in Frankfurt since then. My kids don't even speak Arabic properly and that stings, but then again they'll never have to run. Has anyone else counted their days and felt both proud and sad about it?

Wonder if your kids ever ask you about Aleppo, or is it something you just carry alone these days? That gap between the life you left and the one you gave them, it's a heavy thing to sit with.
