Stumbled on a stat about visa denial rates that floored me
I was digging through some UNHCR data last weekend while looking up resettlement numbers for my country and found out only like 1% of displaced people ever get resettled in a third country. I always figured it was low but that number hit different. It was from their 2023 global trends report. Makes me wonder how the rest of us are supposed to plan anything long term when the odds of getting a visa or asylum are that tiny.
