A customer returned a $600 jacket because the zipper felt sticky

Last month I had a guy call me up about a winter parka he bought from my site. He said the zipper caught on the fabric and he wanted a full refund. I asked him if he tried waxing it with a candle or a bar of soap, he said no and just wanted to send it back. I paid return shipping, got the jacket, and tested the zipper myself. It worked fine after one pass with a beeswax stick I keep in my desk drawer. Now I put a small card in every jacket order explaining zipper maintenance tips. Has anyone else dealt with returns over stuff that takes 30 seconds to fix?

So you spent $600 and didn't even try rubbing a candle on it first?

Miles277 nailed it, people are wild about returning stuff without trying anything first. Had a similar thing happen with a customer who returned a leather jacket because the zipper was "stiff" and now I include a tiny tube of zipper lube with every order. It's crazy how many people just give up immediately.
