Rant: My friend told me "just copy Amazon's product page" and it backfired hard

My buddy Dave swore I'd save time by straight-up copying Amazon's layout for my candle shop. Did it, got a cease and desist from some lawyer within a month. Anyone else get burned by bad advice from someone who's never actually sold online?

Classic move from people who think selling online is just about the layout. That lawyer wasn't messing around either, they send those letters out like candy.

Man, that's rough. You gotta feel for anyone who gets blindsided by legal stuff when they're just trying to run a small shop or side hustle. Those letters really do feel like a gut punch, especially when you're not trying to step on anyone's toes.
