Unpopular opinion: Your coolant concentration gauge might be lying to you

I cleaned my prism once and realized I'd been running coolant-flavored water for months.

The dishwasher who changed my mind about prepping herbs

Wait, you actually do that with cilantro? That's wild. I thought everyone just let it rot in the produce drawer and bought more the next week.

The one fact that shifted my view on campus speech codes

Agreed fully, but I'll admit I used to think differently. A few years back I probably would have rolled my eyes at the comparison too. Then I actually read through some old court cases about what they called "riot" back then and realized it was often just a loud disagreement in a town square. The whole rule was built around local disturbances, not organized violence. So when a modern lone wolf sends a nasty email from his basement but gets charged under the same law, it does feel like the rule got stretched way past what it was meant for. I don't think we need to throw out the whole system, but maybe we need to admit some of these old laws just don't fit the world we live in now.

Finally watched Dark after years of hearing about it

Right? I spent a year telling people "I don't do subtitles" like I was some kind of hero guarding my eyeballs from words. Now I can't stop recommending it and pretending I was never that stubborn.

My old neighborhood group banned me for warning about a tree service that cost me $1200

Oh man, that's so frustrating! I actually just read an article about how Nextdoor has gotten better at keeping review posts up compared to Facebook groups. The article said Facebook groups are way more likely to take down stuff like that because the mods are usually just volunteers who don't want to deal with drama. So yeah, Nextdoor sounds like a solid bet based on what I saw. Also heard that some people have luck posting on Yelp or even Google Maps reviews if you keep it factual and just state what happened without any name-calling.
