Split testing killed my gut feeling, and that's a good thing
I spent 3 months in Phoenix trusting my instincts on product photos, then a simple A/B test on my landing page flipped my conversion rate from 1.8% to 2.4% overnight. Anyone else find that chasing data beats your own taste, or am I the only one who resisted it this hard?

Ha! Welcome to the club of people who finally admit their gut was just guessing with extra steps. I fought split testing for a year because I thought my taste was some sacred gift. Then I tested two button colors and the one I hated made 30% more people click. Turns out my gut was basically a coin flip with a marketing degree. Now I run tests on everything like a mad scientist with a spreadsheet. It stings a little less every time the data tells me I'm wrong. Honestly, the only thing I trust less now is my own opinion about anything.
