Wasted $800 on a home inspection that missed everything
Bought a house in Mill Woods last spring and the inspector said the roof was fine. Six months later I find out there's three layers of shingles underneath and water damage in the attic. Has anyone else dealt with inspectors who just rush through it?

Oh boy, that is infuriating. I've heard too many stories like yours and it seems like some inspectors just flip a script and pocket the cash without actually looking.

That inspector must've been looking at a different house... reminds me of the time I paid a guy to check my own roof and he said it looked great, turns out he just walked around the driveway. Some folks just cash the check and move on to the next job.
