Just hit 500 days without a recordable safety incident on my crew
We've been tracking it on a whiteboard in the break trailer. Feels good to see that number climb, especially after a close call with a live panel last year. Anyone else's shop do something similar to keep safety front of mind?

Congrats on the big number, that's a real win. We used a whiteboard too but added a small weekly safety talk right next to it. Just five minutes every Monday to point at the board and talk about one specific hazard we might see that week. It kept the number from just being background noise and made everyone part of keeping it going.

A weekly safety talk sounds way better than our old method. We just had the number up there and nobody really talked about it.

Yeah, that whiteboard number just becomes wallpaper after a while, doesn't it, @joelgrant? Our old system was the same, and I'm pretty sure I once went a whole month without actually looking at it. Andrew's idea of a quick weekly chat is smart because it forces you to actually see the thing you're trying to track. It turns a forgotten number into a real team habit.
