TIL the hard way about two different ways to check a governor rope
On a job in Phoenix, I used a visual check for a fray and thought it was fine. The next day, my lead used a micrometer and found it was 0.02 inches under spec. Anyone have a better method than just a visual pass?

Yeah, a quick look never catches that stuff... learned the same lesson on a hoist cable last month.
