A client last month told me encryption is just for criminals
We were finishing a big oak removal in Springfield. He saw my Signal app open and said, 'Honest people don't need to hide.' I told him I use it to talk with my crew about pay and job details. He just shrugged and said the law should have a backdoor. That stuck with me. How do you explain to someone that privacy is a right, not a sign of guilt?

That "honest people don't need to hide" line always gets me. I guess I should stop closing the bathroom door then. In all seriousness, I try to ask if they have blinds on their windows, because wanting privacy from strangers isn't the same as hiding from the law.

Did you see that article about how privacy is a basic human need, not a sign of guilt?
