I dropped about $80 on a hardware wallet last year and it's the best peace of mind I've bought.

Peace of mind is a strong word for it. My hardware wallet just gave me a new set of things to worry about, like losing the seed phrase or the device itself breaking. It feels like I traded one kind of stress for another. The whole setup process was nerve-wracking too, a single mistake could lock you out forever. Sometimes I wonder if the old way was simpler, even with the risks.

My buddy Dave lost his life savings in a hot wallet hack last summer. He finally bought a Ledger after that, and now he sleeps way better. I mean, that's worth the price right there.

Yeah that peace of mind is the whole point. It's not just about the money sitting there, it's about not having to check your phone every hour wondering if you got drained. My cousin was the same, always stressed about his crypto on some exchange app. Got a hardware wallet and now he actually forgets about it for weeks. That's how it should be.
