Had a client come in with a chemical burn from a DIY peel she bought online

She showed up at my studio in Phoenix last Tuesday, her cheeks were bright red and peeling in patches. She said she followed the instructions on a $30 kit from some random website. Took me two hours to calm the inflammation with cool compresses and a heavy ceramide cream. Has anyone else had to fix a home treatment mess that got this bad?

Oh man, that sounds rough. Reminds me of the time I tried to give myself bangs with craft scissors. Let's just say the fix was a lot more drastic than some ceramide cream. People really will put anything on their face if the website looks fancy enough.
