Unpopular opinion: I thought those new glue-on shoes were just a fad for show horses.
A client in Lexington had a horse with a bad coffin bone injury, and the vet said no nails at all. I was really skeptical, but we put on a set of those Equi-Thane glue-ons as a last try. That was six months ago, and the horse is sound and back in light work now, which I never thought I'd see. Has anyone else had to use them for a serious medical case and been surprised by the results?

Yeah, the "last try" thing hits home. We had a navicular case that was basically retired until glue-ons got him pasture sound.

Glue-ons just delay the hard choice, @roberts.claire.

Man, that's wild. Coleman.Taylor might call it a delay, but sometimes a delay is all you need, you know?
