Hand stitching almost cost me my spring collection deadline
I was working on this custom embroidery for a dress, thinking it would add a nice touch, but man, it dragged on forever. Got sidetracked trying to perfect the pattern, and next thing I know, weeks have flown by. Had to pull two all-nighters just to get it done in time for the showcase. Learn from my mess: always pad your timeline for hand-finishing details, or you'll be stuck in a panic sew.

Honestly, what part of the pattern made you go down the rabbit hole like that? It's so easy to get stuck on tiny details when you're hand-stitching. Glad you made it, but bet you're never doing that again without a buffer week.

That tiny floral border just kept coming out crooked, so I kept redoing it. Spent a whole evening on about six inches of fabric. You really do lose all sense of time with a needle in your hand.

Assumed hand stitching was quick until I ruined a gift project last year. Now I double my time estimates for any detail work. Your experience confirms I'm not the only one who learned this late.
