My daily commute revealed a shift in fabric pairings...

I was on the bus this morning... and noticed more folks wearing chunky knits with slick trousers. It's like wool and polyester together... which I never saw before. This mix of cozy and sleek got me wondering about comfort meeting style. Maybe it's because we're all after clothes that feel good but still look put together. I see it in jackets too... where heavy canvas meets light linings. It's a small change but it's everywhere now.

I always thought textures had to match, but seeing it everywhere now makes it look smart.

Mixing textures is way more interesting.

Okay, but when you say it's "more interesting," what does that actually mean for putting a room together? Like, is the goal just to look cool, or does mixing textures also make the space feel a certain way? I get stuck because sometimes it just ends up looking messy instead of smart.
