My sister in Chicago said 'sustainable fashion just means boring beige sacks' and now I can't stop thinking about it...
She argued that focusing on eco-friendly materials and ethical production limits creativity, but I think it forces more innovative design, so what's your take on balancing sustainability with bold style?

What if the real limit isn't the materials, but the stores we shop at? Big brands push safe, plain basics to sell to everyone. I've found the most wild, colorful sustainable pieces from small designers on Etsy or at local markets. They aren't stuck in a corporate loop, so they experiment more with upcycled fabrics and bold cuts. The boring beige stuff is just the most visible part. You have to dig a little deeper to find the good, exciting things.

Okay but "dig a little deeper" means spending way more time and money. Most people just need a pair of pants, not a treasure hunt. It's cool those small designers exist, but isn't it just a niche thing for people who can afford to treat clothes like art?
