Pro tip: you don't need a serger for every knit seam
I used to think a zigzag stitch on a regular machine would always pucker, but I got a clean finish on a jersey tee by using a walking foot and a stretch needle. Has anyone else found a good workaround for this?

Totally agree, walking foot is a game changer.

Right there with you @aaron677. That thing saved my last project, a quilt with thick flannel. Without it, the layers just bunched up and slid all over the place. Trying to sew vinyl before was a nightmare, but the walking foot feeds it evenly. It is one of those tools you do not know you need until you use it.

Started messing around with one on an old Singer my grandma gave me and it completely changed how I looked at sewing. I used to avoid anything with a tricky fabric like vinyl or heavy denim cause it would just chew up the thread and skip stitches. The walking foot made a quilted jacket I made actually come out looking like something youd buy at a store instead of a hot mess. Now I keep one on my machine pretty much full time, even for basic stuff like hemming jeans.
