That old Army Navy store on Maple had a bin of deadstock corduroy last month, and now I'm seeing those exact colors as elbow patches on jackets downtown. People aren't just doing random scraps anymore, they're theme-building, like a whole jacket from different shades of plaid flannel. It makes the old bowling shirts look simple. The pop-ups are basically supplying the raw material for a whole new DIY uniform.

Totally saw that with my thrift store's button box.

Nah, it's still just scraps to me lol. Adam_nelson's pop-up thing sounds like a stretch, it's just people using what they can find.
