Good foremen now document every site change with photos.
This keeps the whole crew on the same page.

On the Miller building site, our foreman took daily photos of EVERY progress point. It was a lifesaver when the inspector asked about a moved pipe. We just pulled up the folder from that week and showed him EXACTLY when it happened. That kind of proof stops arguments before they even start. Honestly, it builds so much trust with the whole team. More foremen should see it as essential, not extra work.

Absolutely. It's funny how people act like this is just a construction thing, but it's everywhere. You see it in any job where the work changes day by day. People skip the small step of writing things down or taking a picture because it feels like extra hassle right then. But that one minute saves you from a whole mess of arguing and finger pointing later. It's just basic proof, and not having it makes everything harder for everyone.

Totally true, @thea_hart. I mean, it just takes one argument over what was where to make you see how needed those photos are. It's not even about blame, it's just having the facts right there. I've seen guys waste half a day going back and forth over something a single picture could clear up in two seconds. For the little time it takes, it saves so much headache later with inspectors or even sorting out change orders. It's a no brainer once you get in the habit.
