Warning: I thought those $15 phone camera lens kits were a total scam

I mean, I bought one on a whim from a street vendor in Chicago last summer and the macro shots of flowers in my garden are actually insane. Has anyone else had a gadget surprise them like that?

My cheap lens kit is basically a toy, but it turned my phone into a bug-spotting machine. @haydenc10, it's not life changing, but watching a spider weave a web in crazy detail made my whole week. I felt like a nature documentarian for about twenty bucks.

Ugh, seriously. For me it was, but in a super quiet way. Like, it just made my daily routine way less annoying. Stopped dreading that one dumb task every morning.
