Found my dad's collection of printed maps in the garage
He used them for road trips before GPS. It's amazing how we got around without instant directions. What old things do you still have that seem pointless now?

My sense of direction is so bad I'd get lost with a map and a compass.

No way, those maps aren't pointless, they're solid backups when tech fails!

Remember when everyone's GPS died during that big solar flare a few years back? My uncle just pulled out a paper map from his glove box like it was nothing. Made you wonder how many people are just totally lost without a screen telling them what to do. He said his dad taught him that the battery never dies on a fold-up map. Kind of makes you think about what other old-school stuff we threw out too fast, doesn't it?
