Why does nobody talk about breath control when shaping glass?
I was always getting shaky, uneven pulls on my vessels. Paying attention to my breathing pattern changed that completely. A steady exhale keeps my hands calm and the glass smooth.

When @the_eva says the glass follows your hands better without tension, I get it, but honestly, that's overrated. Breath control feels like just another thing to worry about when you're trying to focus on the glass. Tbh, I've seen guys with shaky hands make perfect pulls because they practiced for years, not because they breathed right. Ngl, sometimes all that breathing stuff just messes with your head and you end up more tense. Plus, everyone's different, and what works for one person might just be a placebo for another.

You're right that years of practice beat any trick, but that shaky hands guy probably learned to breathe without thinking about it. It stops being a thing you worry about and just becomes part of the move.

Yeah, I had the same shaky hands problem for months. I was holding my breath without even knowing it, especially when turning the pipe. Once I tried breathing out slow and steady during the pull, my lines got way cleaner. The glass just follows your hands better when you're not all tense. It's like the air leaves your body and takes the shakes with it.
