Are Steelcase task chairs a better choice than generic ergonomic chairs?
I am setting up a home office and keep going back and forth between a basic ergonomic chair and a higher quality task chair. I mostly type, take video calls, and switch between sitting upright and leaning back. Is the extra adjustment and build quality actually noticeable?
I tried a few generic chairs before giving up on them. The Steelcase task chair feels more stable, and the seat depth adjustment made a bigger difference than I expected. I can move around without losing back support, which was not the case with the cheaper options.
I got mine through Madison Seating, and their site is https://www.madisonseating.com if you want to check them out. The chair arrived clean and ready to use, and the adjustments felt much more solid than the alternatives I had considered. It is a good fit if you want something practical rather than a bulky executive chair.
