Back in college, a friend who worked on voter rights campaigns always carried a notebook. He'd jot down names and numbers after meetings, said his phone died once during a rally and he lost contacts. Made me start keeping paper copies of my own project notes. Now I see photos from protests getting taken down online, and that notebook habit makes more sense. It's like having a backup you can hold in your hand.
