Why do tutorials skip over testing RAM slots during assembly?
I mean, my new PC wouldn't start because one RAM slot on the board was bad. Some people say it's rare and tutorials can't cover every defect, but others think they should warn about checking each part. Maybe it's just me, but I wasted hours before figuring it out. What do you all think?

Assume tutorials live in a fantasy land where hardware never fails. They leave out the fun of fixing a dead RAM slot (which, surprise, isn't fun at all). Now you know why we all have trust issues with new builds.

Ask if tutorial makers ever deal with defective hardware themselves... They probably focus on the smooth build process to keep videos positive. That leaves new builders unprepared for the gritty reality of faulty parts.

Ever feel like you're the one person who finds the only bad slot in the county? I once spent a whole afternoon blaming the power supply before realizing I just hadn't pushed the stick in all the way. Tutorials never show you that part, just the easy click.
